Busboy/Icarus

What's one more dirty dish mean
If I won't ever make it clean
There's a bottle of wine inside my sink
I didn't care enough to drink

There's a pile of clothes upon my floor
One pair of shoes by my front door
I haven't worn them in so long

There's a puddle of water in my shower
I've sat in it for the past hour
Memorizing the masonry

And everyone's attention
Is on the television
But I don't like TV
It's never done much for me

It's all a pool of shit if you look close
Hold your breathe and plug your nose
Cause we're diving in it deep

I heard a man on the TTC
Preach how the lunatics are free
It's cause they do not give a damn
I think I should try it out

Work only seems to make things darker
They said I look like Peter Parker
And so they call me Spider-man
I love those guys for it

I don't give much for them to see
But it means everything to me
That I have people there sometimes

And everyone's attention
Is on the television
But I don't like TV
It's never done much for me

I was given wings made out of wax
Till everything I had collapsed
Guess I flew too close to the sun
